সদ্য স্নাতক মেয়েকে ভাল একটা উপহার দেয়ার জন্য বাবা তাকে নিয়ে গ্যারেজে গেলেন। বললেন, এখানের এই গাড়িটা অনেক বছর আগে আমি নিয়েছিলাম। এখন এর অনেক বয়স হয়ে গেছে। তোমার খুশীর এই মুহূর্তে এটা আমি তোমাকে উপহার হিসেবে দিতে চাই। তবে তার আগে তুমি এটা বিক্রির জন্য ব্যবহার করা গাড়ির শোরুমে যাও এবং দেখ তারা এটার কত দাম বলে।

মেয়ে ব্যবহৃত গাড়ির শোরুম থেকে বাবার কাছে ফিরে এসে বলল,  তারা এই গাড়ির মূল্য এক হাজার ডলার বলেছে,  কারণ এটি দেখতে খুবই পুরাতন।

বাবা বললেন, এবার এটা ভাঙ্গারি দোকানে নিয়ে যাও, দেখ ওরা কি বলে!

মেয়ে ভাঙ্গারি দোকান থেকে ফিরে এসে বলল, এটা অনেক পুরনো গাড়ি বলে ওরা মাত্র $১০০০ ডলার দাম দিতে চায়।

বাবা তখন একটা গাড়ির ক্লাবে গিয়ে গাড়িটা দেখাতে বললেন। মেয়ে গাড়িটি ক্লাবে নিয়ে গেল এবং ফিরে এসে খুশিতে তার বাবাকে বলল, 

ক্লাবে কিছু লোক খুবই কৌতূহলি হয়ে গাড়িটি পর্যবেক্ষণ করলো এবং এর জন্য এক লক্ষ ডলার অফার করেছে, যেহেতু এটি একটি আইকনিক গাড়ি।"

তখন বাবা তাঁর মেয়েকে বললেন, সঠিক জায়গার সঠিক লোক তোমাকে সঠিক ভাবেই মূল্যায়ন করবে। আর যদি কোথাও তোমাকে মূল্য না দেওয়া হয়, তবে রাগ করবেনা। বুঝে নিবে এর মানে তুমি ভুল জায়গায় আছো। তারাই তোমার মূল্য দিবে, যাদের নিজেদের মূল্যবোধ আছে, গুনের মর্ম উপলব্ধি করার মত যোগ্যতা আছে।

এমন জায়গায় কখনো থেকো না যেখানে তোমার প্রকৃত মূল্যায়ন কেউ করে না।”........

 Never be in a place where no one really evaluates you. ”........
