তোমরা কি জানো, মানুষ মারা যাওয়ার পর তাঁর আত্মার কি হয়?
একদিন নবী করিম সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম এর একজন সাহাবী মারা গেলেন, রাসূল পাক সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম উনার জানাজা পড়ালেন। তারপর একদল সাহাবী মৃতদেহ কবর দেয়ার জন্য কবরস্থানে নিয়ে আসলেন, সবার সাথে আমাদের নবী করিমও সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম হেঁটে হেঁটে আসলেন।
দুই জন সাহাবী কবর খুঁড়তে শুরু করলেন সবাই মৃত দেহকে ঘিরে বসে আছেন।
কবর খনন শেষ না হওয়া পর্যন্ত অপেক্ষা করছেন,
সবাই চুপচাপ, নীরব ও শান্ত একটি পরিস্থিতি।
নবীজি গভীর মনোযোগ দিয়ে কবর খোঁড়া দেখছিলেন একটু পর সবার দিকে তাঁকিয়ে জিজ্ঞেস করলেন,
তোমরা কি জানো মানুষ মারা যাওয়ার পর তাঁর আত্মার কি হয়?
সবাই খুব আগ্রহ নিয়ে নবীজি কে বললেন,
ইয়া রাসূলুল্লাহ!
আপনি আমাদেরকে বলুন।
নবীজি একটু চুপ করে থাকলেন সবাই উনার কাছে এসে ঘিরে বসলেন।
মৃত্যুর পর আত্মার কি হয় এই তথ্য তাঁদের জানা ছিল না।
আজ সেটা নবীজির মুখে শুনবেন কত বড় সৌভাগ্য শুনার জন্য, সবাই অধীর আগ্রহে নবীজির কাছে এসে বসলেন।
তিনি একবার কবরের দিকে তাকিয়ে মাথাটা তুলে আকাশের দিকে তাকালেন।
তারপর তিনি গল্পের মত করে বলতে শুরু করলেন।
শুনো, যখন মানুষ একেবারেই মৃত্যু শয্যায়, তখন সে মৃত্যুর ফেরেস্তাকে দেখে ভয় পেয়ে যায়।
কিন্তু যে বিশ্বাসী ও ভালো মানুষ তাকে মৃত্যুর ফেরেস্তা হাসি মুখে সালাম দেন তাকে অভয় দেন এবং মাথার পাশে এসে ধীরে ও যত্ন করে বসেন।
তারপর মৃত প্রায় মানুষটির দিকে তাকিয়ে বলেন,
হে পবিত্র আত্মা ! তুমি তোমার পালনকর্তার ক্ষমা ও ভালোবাসা গ্রহণ করো এবং এই দেহ থেকে বের হয়ে আসো। মুমিনের আত্মা যখন বের হয়ে আসে তখন সে কোন ধরণের ব্যথা ও বেদনা অনুভব করে না।
নবী আরো একটু ভালো করে উদাহরণ দিয়ে বললেন,
মনে করো একটা পানির জগ কানায় কানায় পূর্ণ হয়ে যাওয়ার পর উপর থেকে এক ফোঁটা পানি যেমন নিঃশব্দে উপর থেকে নিচে নেমে আসে ঠিক তেমনি নীরবে ও কষ্ট ছাড়াই আত্মাটি তার দেহ থেকে বের হয়ে আসে।
সেই সময় দুই জন অন্য ফেরেস্তা বেহেস্ত থেকে খুব সুগন্ধি মাখানো একটা নরম সুতার সাদা চাদর নিয়ে আসেন এবং তারা আত্মাটিকে সেই চাদরে আবৃত করে আকাশের দিকে নিয়ে যান।
তারা যখন আকাশে পৌঁছেন তখন অন্য ফেরেস্তারা সেই আত্মাটিকে দেখার জন্য এগিয়ে আসেনI
কাছে এসে সবাই বলেন, সুবহানাল্লাহ ! কত সুন্দর আত্মা কি সুন্দর তার ঘ্রান ! তারপর সবাই জানতে চান এই আত্মাটি কার? উত্তরে আত্মা বহন কারী ফেরেস্তারা বলেন, উনি হলেন, ফুলান ইবনে ফুলান
(নবী আরবিতে বলেছেন, বাংলায় হলো, অমুকের সন্তান অমুক )
বাকি ফেরেস্তা গন তখন আত্মাটিকে সালাম দেয়, তারপর আবার জিজ্ঞেস করে, উনি কি করেছেন ? উনার আত্মায় এতো সুঘ্রাণ কেন?
আত্মা বহন কারী ফেরেস্তা গন তখন বলেন, আমরা শুনেছি মানুষজন নিচে বলা-বলি করছে, উনি একজন ভালো মানুষ ছিলেন, আল্লাহর ভালো বান্দা অনেক দয়ালু মানুষের অনেক উপকার করেছেন।
এতটুকু বলার পর নবী একটু থামলেন,
তারপর সবার দিকে ভালো করে দৃষ্টি দিয়ে উনার কণ্ঠটা একটু বাড়িয়ে বললেন,
এই কারণেই বলছি, সাবধান ! তোমরা কিন্তু মানুষের সাথে কখনো খারাপ ব্যবহার করবে না।
তুমি মারা যাওয়ার পর মানুষ তোমার সম্পর্কে যা যা বলবে, এই আত্মা বহন কারী ফেরেস্তারাও আকাশে গিয়ে ঠিক একই কথা অন্যদেরকে বলবে।
এই কথা বলে তিনি আবার একটু চুপ করলেন কবরটার দিকে দৃষ্টি দিলেন।
আবার বলতে শুরু করলেন,
এই সময় মানুষ যখন পৃথিবীতে মৃত দেহকে কবর দেয়ার জন্য গোসল দিয়ে প্রস্তুত করবে তখন আল্লাহ তা'আলা আত্মা বহন কারী ফেরেশতাদেরকে বলবেন, যাও এখন তোমরা আবার এই আত্মাকে তার শরীরে দিয়ে আসো, মানুষকে আমি মাটি থেকে বানিয়েছি, মাটির দেহেই তার আত্মাকে আবার রেখে আসো। সময় হলে তাকে আমি আবার পুনরায় জীবন দিবো।
তারপর মৃতদেহকে কবরে রেখে যাওয়ার পর দুই জন ফেরেস্তা আসবেন, তাদের নাম মুনকার ও নাকির
তারা মৃতের সৃষ্টিকর্তা, তার ধর্ম ও নবী সম্পর্কে জিজ্ঞেস করবেন।
মুনকার নাকির চলে যাওয়ার পর,
আত্মাটি আবার অন্ধকার কবরে একাকী হয়ে যাবে।
সে এক ধরণের অজানা আশংকায় অপেক্ষা করবে, কোথায় আছে ? কি করবে ? এক অনিশ্চয়তা এসে তাকে ঘিরে ধরবে।
এমন সময় সে দেখবে, খুব সুন্দর একজন তার কবরে তার সাথে দেখা করতে এসেছেন।
তাঁকে দেখার পর আত্মাটি ভীষণ মুগ্ধ হবে এতো মায়াবী ও সুন্দর তার চেহারা, সে জীবনে কোন দিন দেখেনি।
আত্মাটি তাকে দেখে জিজ্ঞেস করবে,
তুমি কে ? সেই লোকটি বলবে,
আমি তোমার জন্য অনেক বড় সু- সংবাদ নিয়ে এসেছি, তুমি দুনিয়ার পরীক্ষায় উর্তীর্ণ হয়েছো তোমার জন্য আল্লাহ তা'আলা জান্নাতের ব্যবস্থা করেছেন, তুমি কি সেটা একটু দেখতে চাও?
আত্মাটি ভীষণ খুশি হয়ে বলবে,
অবশ্যই আমি দেখতে চাই,
আমাকে একটু জান্নাত দেখাও, লোকটি বলবে,
তোমার ডান দিকে তাকাও।
আত্মাটি ডানে তাকিয়ে দেখবে কবরের দেয়ালটি সেখানে আর নেই, সেই দেয়ালের দরজা দিয়ে অনেক দূরে সুন্দর বেহেস্ত দেখা যাচ্ছে।
বেহেস্তের এই রূপ দেখে আত্মাটি অনেক মুগ্ধ হবে ও প্রশান্তি লাভ করবে এবং সেখানে যাওয়ার জন্য অস্থির হয়ে লোকটিকে জিজ্ঞেস করবে।
আমি সেখানে কখন যাবো? কিভাবে যাবো?
লোকটি মৃদু হেসে বলবেন,
যখন সময় হবে, তখনই তুমি সেখানে যাবে ও থাকবে। আপাততঃ শেষ দিবস পর্যন্ত তোমাকে অপেক্ষা করতে হবে, ভয় পেও না আমি তোমার সাথেই আছি তোমাকে আমি সেই দিন পর্যন্ত সঙ্গ দিবো।
আত্মাটি তখন তাকে আবারো জিজ্ঞেস করবে,
কিন্তু তুমি কে?
তখন লোকটি বলবে,
আমি তোমার এতদিনের আমল, পৃথিবীতে তোমার সব ভালো কাজের, তোমার সব পুণ্যের রূপ আমি, আজ তুমি আমাকে একজন সঙ্গীর মত করে দেখছো। আমাকে আল্লাহ তা'আলা তোমাকে সঙ্গ দেয়ার জন্যই এখানে পাঠিয়েছেন।
এই কথা বলে লোকটি আত্মাটির উপর যত্ন করে হাত বুলিয়ে দিবেন এবং বলবেন,
হে পবিত্র আত্মা! এখন তুমি শান্তিতে ঘুমাও নিশ্চিন্তে বিশ্রাম নাও।
এই কথা বলার পর আত্মাটি এক নজরে বেহেস্তের দিকে তাঁকিয়ে থাকবে এবং একসময় এই তাকানো অবস্থায় গভীর প্রশান্তিতে ঘুমিয়ে পড়বে।
নবীজি এতটুকু বলে আবার একটু থামলেন।
সাহাবীরা তখন গায়ের কাপড় দিয়ে ভেজা চোখ মুছলেন।

Do you know what happens to the soul after death?....
One day one of the Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) died and the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) performed his janaza. Then a group of Companions brought the corpse to the graveyard for burial, and our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came with all of them on foot.
The two disciples began digging graves, all surrounded by dead bodies.
Waiting for the grave to be excavated,
A situation where everyone is silent, silent and calm.
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) looked at the grave with deep attention and after a while he looked at everyone and asked,
Do you know what happens to a person's soul after death?
Everyone said to the Prophet with great interest,
O Messenger of Allah!
You tell us.
Nabiji remained silent for a while and everyone came to him and sat around him.
They did not know what happened to the soul after death.
Today you will hear it in the face of the Prophet to hear how great good fortune, everyone came to the Prophet with eager interest and sat down.
He once looked at the grave, raised his head and looked at the sky.
Then he began to tell like a story.
Listen, when a person is absolutely on the death bed, he is scared to see the angel of death.
But the believer and the good man who greets him with the smile of the angel of death fears him and comes to the side of his head and sits down slowly and carefully.
Then the dead man looked at the man and said,
O Holy Spirit! Accept the forgiveness and love of your Lord and come out of this body. When the soul of a believer comes out, he does not feel any kind of pain and suffering.
The Prophet said with a little better example,
Imagine a jug of water being filled to the brim, just as a drop of water descends from the top silently from above, just as the soul comes out of its body silently and without pain.
At that moment two other angels came down from heaven with a white sheet of very soft perfumed oil and they wrapped the spirit in that sheet and carried it to the sky.
When they reached the sky, other angels came forward to see the spirit
Everyone came closer and said, Subhanallah! What a beautiful soul, what a beautiful scent! Then everyone wants to know who is this soul? In reply the angels carrying the spirit said, "He is Fulan ibn Fulan.
(The Prophet said in Arabic, in Bengali it is the child of such and such)
The rest of the angels then salute the spirit, then ask again, what has he done? Why is his soul so fragrant?
The angel carrying the soul then said, "We have heard people say below, he was a good man, a good servant of God has done a lot of good to many kind people."
After saying this, the Prophet paused,
Then he looked at everyone and raised his voice a little and said,
That's why I'm saying, be careful! But you will never treat people badly.
Whatever people say about you after you die, the angels who carry these spirits will go to heaven and say the same thing to others.
Saying this, he became silent again and looked at the grave.
Began to say again,
At this time, when man prepares the dead body for burial on earth, Allah will say to the angels who carry the soul, "Go and bring this soul back to his body. I have created man from dust, and put his soul in the body of earth again." When the time comes, I will give him life again.
Then after leaving the body in the grave, two angels will come, their names are Munkar and Nakir.
They will ask about the Creator of the dead, his religion and the Prophet.
After Munkar Naki left,
The soul will again be alone in the dark grave.
He will wait in a kind of unknown fear, where is it? What to do? An uncertainty will come and surround him.
At that time he will see that a very beautiful person has come to meet him in his grave.
After seeing him, the soul will be very fascinated. His face is so magical and beautiful, he has never seen it in his life.
The spirit will look at him and ask,
Who are you The man will say,
I have brought you great good news, you have passed the test of the world, Allah has arranged Paradise for you, do you want to see it a little?
The soul will rejoice and say,
Of course I want to see,
Show me a little paradise, the man will say,
Look to your right.
The soul will look to the right and see that the wall of the tomb is no longer there, a beautiful heaven can be seen far away through the door of that wall.
Seeing this form of heaven, the soul will be very fascinated and will find peace and will ask the man anxiously to go there.
When will I go there? How to go?
The man smiled softly and said,
When the time comes, you will go and stay there. For now, you have to wait until the last day, don't be afraid, I am with you, I will accompany you till that day.
The spirit will then ask him again,
But who are you
Then the man will say,
I am your so long period, all your good deeds in the world, all your virtues I am, today you see me as a partner. Allah has sent me here to accompany you.
Saying this, the man will take care of the soul, turn his hand and say,
O Holy Spirit! Now you sleep in peace and rest in peace.
After saying this, the soul will be staring at the sky at a glance and will fall asleep in deep peace while looking at it.
Nabiji said so much and paused again.
The disciples then wiped their wet eyes with a cloth.
